It’s almost Valentine’s day, a period where couples show public display of affection a lot and leave the single individuals “aaawwing” at every picture they see whilst drowning in chocolate and listening to sad music wondering why they are still single. This can be a little bit daunting but hey, you don’t have to feel sad just because you have no one to spend Valentine day with. There are a lot of fun activities you can do, you don’t need another person to have fun.
- Pamper yourself
Hit up a non-judgemental beauty store; you know those ones that won’t gossip about you when you leave or if they have guts they can do it in your presence and grab body scrubs, face masks, then stop in the market to buy cucumbers for your eyes. Fill the bathtub, get scented roses, go the whole nine yards and feel beautiful in the end.
2. Spend the day with friends
Meet up with single friends, stay in or go out. Ensure you have fun; this would help combat Valentine’s day blues. Whether you decide to stay in or go out, you’ll be with women who understand you which can be really helpful especially when you feel like no man does.
3. Buy yourself a gift
If you have one of those moments when you see an amazing pair of shoes/bags or anything you love, go ahead and get them. You are your own valentine, after all.
4. Get your adrenaline pumping
Get some of your friends to do something really exciting, go skydiving, enter a roller coaster. Just try something risky and kickass (but not totally insane), this would help you take your mind off a lot of things and trust me you need to be distracted.
5. Read a book
No, not a romantic novel, read a thriller. Shut down your computer and start reading a book, don’t put on the television; read a book
